As I evolve as an artist, I continually challenge myself to create new works using different mediums, surfaces and subjects.   My early works were created on canvas with acrylic as my medium of choice.  As an avid outdoor enthusiast I mentally captured images from a lifetime of travel and outdoor adventures.  My works are a compilation of those memories, with the paint on the canvas leading me to the creation of the final work rather than a photograph or picture of an actual place, flower, tree, or the sea.

Always wanting to challenge and grow, I began working in oil with a cold wax medium. The joy of painting for me is the process of creating, often without a predetermined outcome.  In addition to a new medium for me was the desire to paint horses, a lifelong passion as well.
