​Creating under the name of CM Haggerty, Colleen is a Northwest artist and native Oregonian, with a passion for creating fine art featuring the outdoors.  The artist's inspiration comes from memories of places visited and the wonderful feelings evoked from those journeys. Whether into the closeup faces of gardens, the inspiring majesty of mountains, the changing colors and emotions of the sea or the peacefulness of a small creek deep in the forests, her works range from the grandeur of open vistas to the intimate views of spring's earliest flowers.

An informal student of art with a particular affection for the impressionists, the artist continues to explore varied styles and approaches to her work.  Recent works delve into working with oil and a cold wax medium.  As with her outdoor and environmental works, the images evolve, capturing the horses from the memories and emotions from her life as a horsewoman.
